Who this guide is for

You are a parent or a registrant. You want family and friends to help with the cost of a conference or retreat. Or you are a friend who got a link.

Why this page exists

Many families ask relatives and friends to help. A page with a link and a QR code makes giving easy, and each gift goes to the right fund.

What you will do, in one sentence

Start a page under My registrations, choose the funds to show, and share the link or the QR code.

1. Start your page​

  1. Sign in to the parish app.
  2. Open Conferences & Retreats, then My registrations.
  3. Under your registration, find Fundraising page. Select Start a fundraising page.
  4. Type a headline and a message. Use a first name only. Everyone who opens the page sees the name.
  5. Enter a goal, or leave it empty.
  6. Select Create the page.

The page is ready at once. You see your link, a short link and a QR code.

2. Choose which funds show​

When the conference has more than one fund, the panel shows Funds shown on your page.

  1. Tick the funds that you want donors to see.
  2. Keep at least one fund ticked.
  3. Select Save funds.

3. Share the page​

  • Select Copy link and send it by message or email.
  • Select Share on a phone.
  • Print the QR code for a flyer.

Select Pause the page to stop gifts for a while. Select Open the page again to restart. Only staff can open a page that staff closed.

4. If you are the friend who gives​

  1. Open the link or scan the QR code.
  2. Read the message and the progress.
  3. Select Give now, or the button of the fund you want.
  4. Complete the gift on the next page.

Some pages say "Totals update daily". The total then changes once a day after the gift.

Your privacy

The page shows a first name, the headline and the message. It never shows a last name, an age, a school or a photo.

5. Quick reference card​

The whole job, in four lines​

  1. Start the page under My registrations.
  2. Choose the funds to show.
  3. Copy the link or print the QR code.
  4. Thank your donors.
